I am thrilled to be a part of the team traveling to Portugal in June.
I am very interested in broadening my cultural awareness and
international knowledge. In addition, I look forward to learning from my
colleagues and faculty to improve and enhance my own leadership skills
especially as they relate to my human resources work. Finally, I look
forward to learning more about human resources in Portugal, businesses to
compare and contrast, and the similarities and differences to the United States.

Leadership from an international perspective, and sharing this learning
experience with a unique and varied group of students and faculty.

I’m
so excited about the opportunity to travel to Lisbon, Portugal. This is my
first experience with international travel and I’m sure the exposure to
cross-cultural similarities and differences will be very enlightening. I
look forward to gaining new experiences and insights from a different cultural
perspective. This course will allow me to explore leadership at the
individual, organizational, and global levels. I look forward to learning from
the experiences of my fellow students and our extraordinary faculty. I would
like to thank all of the individuals that were instrumental in making this
opportunity possible.

Since the law
firms I work with are not international firms, I hope that this trip will
broaden my professional perspective of the world, and I will come away with knowledge that I can apply in my current position. I also look
forward to the cultural experience of traveling abroad for the first time in my
life. I am very excited to hear Dr. Shuck speak at the conference.

to represent UofL and participate in the UFHRD Conference hosted in Lisbon. When it comes to experiencing life in this world, I look
forward to hearing from the people that have dedicated their lives to becoming
experts in the field of Human Resource Development. Plus, I am eager see
to presentations on recent research in the field.

I am very excited to attend the UFHRD conference
in Portugal for many reasons. It will be my first time traveling to
Europe and I have a feeling it won't be my last! Besides seeing the
beautiful country and trying new food, I am most excited for the conference.
I hope to gain a better perspective on being a leader across different
cultures. I'm excited to hear our very own UofL professor, Dr. Shuck
speak, as I have learned a lot from him when conducting research on employee
engagement. I am also looking forward to the networking opportunity with
people from all over the world. I am confident that this trip will be one
of my most memorable and rewarding learning experiences!

love to travel and I’ve always wanted to see Portugal. I’m excited to get a
global perspective on Leadership and Organizational Development and have a
chance to network with colleagues from around the world. This will be my final
academic project as an undergraduate and I can’t think of a better send off.
